After two operations where all visble tumors are removed from the right lung and the left thigh, Mette receives consolidating chemotherapy, from July 31rst to September 9th 2006.

Six rounds of CIVE were planned, but treatment stops after three series, as Mette is too weak and the sideeffects are alarming. The treatment is a “VIDE light”, where Doxorubicin is replaced with Caelyx because Doxorubicin effects heart- and kidney function when given in large quantities.

The doses are generally lower than during the VIDE treatment.

Day 1:
Caelyx 27 mg iv
Ifosfamide 4,3 mg iv
Vincristine 2 mg iv
Etoposide 216 mg iv

Day 2 and 3:
Caelyx 27 mg iv
Ifosfamide 4,3 mg iv
Etoposide 216 mg iv

Additionally: Mesna, Emend, SoluMedrol, Zofran, Vogalene.
